Our 2 chow chows love the cold weather, this week sudden autumn cold Snap sending the temperature down to below 10c. Makes them all lively again.

They are running around without their usual heavy panting. Chow chow with their heavy coat loves the cold weather. Last night they were sleeping in front of the open window instead of their usual place that is in our bed room. They love this weather, for me this is very uncomfortable. Have to wear heavy clothing when bringing them for their evening walk. Autumn season makes our dogs into a glutton, have to increase their meal portion, if not they will coming to beg for supper later in the night.

Winter has arrives- 1st snow fall 28th Nov.

PB280026This Sunday started as any normal Sunday, feed  our chow chows and depart for the weekly trip to the supermarket.
By Midday snow started to fall, with a snowing weather double quick our shopping, as I do not like to be on the road on a snowy day.

Teddy and Santa seems to be able  to smell that there is a change in weather, the moment we  open the door, both of them cannon out to play in the snow.
Our chow chows loves the snow, they start to have their doggies play fight and frolicking all over the snow on driveway.
My wife and I took this opportunity to have some fun in the snow.
Snow seem to activate out outdoor spirit.  Teddy and Santa  have a good 3 plus hours of fun.Have to force them to return back to the house ,as I am afraid they might  get frost bite. With them back into the house, 1st winter labour work starts, sweeping all the snows from the drive way. Look like it is time to spruce up for Christmas.

Winter is here

Every year when the trees started  to become  bald and the environment  loses it’s greenery changing to various shade of grey, this will give me a down crested feeling.
Another  year  has flown past by, and I am moving into the sunset of my life. Life is uncomfortable during winter with it’s –20deg C temperature and the centre heating makes the house oven dry.

they will remains outdoor unless, I force them to return back to the house. Eating snow is apparently their favourite  dessert.
I would like to leave them out the whole day, however I am afraid they might have frost bite on their pawls.
Chows are truly the Northern breed with their Mongolian background, living in a minus zero environment is  the norm.

Once in the house, with the heater on, they start to become lethargy and before long they will start to snooze float into their dream land.
